EMlines division is designed to provide complete software and hardware solutions for public transport. By using cloud-based software and also IoT solutions from EMware range the EMlines solution is able to provide real-time data and enhanced analytics for passengers, dispatchers, transport operators and authorities.

Open interface hardware

Electronic hardware from EMware line is an open, linux based industrial hardware. It is always delivered with a Software Development Kit (SDK) for our customers to develop their own applications.
As a result, EMware is often used in attendance systems, custom transport applications, SMART city and Internet of Things solutions.

Virtual card systems

EMcard offers complex account-based PAY & ID & GO systems for urban and static transportation, entrance management systems and ticketing. .

With the multitude of payment options for each solution EMcard’s solutions are used in parking and EV charging, attendance systems, sport and culture venues, transport hubs and public transport.

HISTORY

EMtest was founded by Ladislav Heglas in March 1990 as a result of a lack of innovation in industrial hardware and transport systems. In the years 1991-1994 the production of software information systems gradually began and the company created its own software system for transport, later supplemented with electronic devices from internal development and production. EMtest, a.s. evolved into a joint-stock company employing almost 100 people with its operations all over the world. ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

EMtest, a.s. is always pushing for innovations in the field of public transportation systems. These innovations are used, above all, to improve services for passengers, and thus promoting the use of public transport. This leads to less emissions and less fuel spent per passenger helping with urban planning and responsible use of land. We also started with R&D of more green-friendly devices. The most noteworthy first step towards eco-friendly range of devices is our Solar powered bus stop. In 2018, the company fleet was renewed completely and swapped for hybrid and electric cars.

COOPERATION WITH UNIVERSITY OF ŽILINA

EMtest has a history of cooperation with the University of Žilina and especially Faculty of Management Science and Informatics and Faculty of Electrical engineering and IT. These faculties focus on applied informatics, electrical engineering, marketing, network science, cybernetics, and other IT and managerial fields. As a result of this, many current and past students of these faculties are currently working with us. EMtest also takes part in faculty and University organized events such as FRIčkovica, FRI fest or FUTURIKON.
